Warranty Guidelines

Please note that the Granite Security Products, Inc. (GSP) Warranty does not cover the loss or damage to the contents in or around the safe, under any circumstance. We highly recommend that you purchase insurance coverage for the contents of your safe.

Any Warranty repairs to your safe must be made with the authorization of one of our Customer Service Representatives. You may reach them Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Central Time at 817-561-9095 (Hours Subject to Change).

Without exception, if you have work performed on your safe without prior authorization, the payment for the work performed will be the sole responsibility of the safe Owner.

Safes made by Granite Security Products, Inc. (GSP) come with a limited lifetime warranty, beginning on the purchase date, protecting against defects in materials, workmanship, fire related damage, and theft.

SAFES MUST BE REGISTERED TO ACTIVATE ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS.

GSP may, at its discretion, revoke any warranty claim if any neglect, misuse, or tampering/altering of any part of the product is suspected.

All safes must be registered within one year from the date of purchase, otherwise all warranties are void.

Always examine and test any safes functions, quality, and ensure no flaws or failure out of the box.

At the time of delivery or installation, it is the owner’s responsibility to ensure no damage has been incurred during transit or installation, prior to signing off. As GSP is not responsible for any damage sustained during transit/installation.

All claims are open to the discretion of GSP and are subject to review by our customer service department. For more information contact our customer service.

Defective Materials and Workmanship Warranty
(Excludes: 9-volt battery, shelf clips and other disposable/consumable materials)
Duration: Five (5) years from the date of purchase.
Includes: Handles, Internal Bolts & Bolt-Work, Paint Defects, Fire Seal, and Hinges.

Interior Shelving Warranty
(Excludes GunStiXX, shelf clips and other disposable/consumable materials)
Duration: Two (2) years from the date of purchase.
Includes: Gun Racks, Center Dividers, Side & Top Shelves, and Shelf Strips.

Accessories Warranty
(Excludes GunStiXX and other disposable/consumable materials)
Duration: One (1) year from the date of purchase.
Includes: (If Applicable) Light kits, Dehumidifiers, Power Docking Stations.

Lock Warranty:
(Excludes 9-volts batteries and other disposable/consumable materials)
Duration: Model Dependent. (See Below)
Includes: Mechanical and Electronic Locks. (Starting with Safe Serial Numbers: Win-24-XXX)

UL Listed Locks
All UL Listed locks, both mechanical and electronic, are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the purchase date. (Excludes all Tractor Supply Models and Academy Models) Excludes battery replacements, or other disposable parts.
Purchase an extended warranty of ten (10) years for $75.00 or a lifetime extension for $175.00.
Any replacement lock will gain a new one (1) year warranty from the date of replacement.

NON-UL Listed Locks
All Non-UL Listed locks, both mechanical and electronic, are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the purchase date. (Covering all Tractor Supply Models and Academy Models) Excludes battery replacements, backup keys or other disposable parts.
Purchase an extended warranty of two (2) year for $75.00.

 

Fire & Burglary Attacks LIFETIME Warranty:

We apologize for your losses and the frustration associated with theft and or fire, we insure you we will make this right.
This warranty provides a free replacement safe if your current registered safe meets Winchester Safes/GSP approved replacement conditions in the event of a fire or burglary attack. Claims must be filed within six (6) months of loss.

Winchester Safe Warranty Approved Replacement Conditions

A Winchester Safe is considered “ruined” under the following conditions:
1. The keypad or mechanical dial is melted/inoperable.
2. Any welded seams are compromised.
3. The fire seal has expanded (Expansion occurs at 212 degrees Fahrenheit).
If your safe sustains water damage due to the actions of a responding fire department, we will honor the warranty, provided that the safe is near the fire and has incurred actual damage. Please note that a smoke odor inside the safe does not qualify as “ruined.”
For fire claims, please submit a Fire Report, including photographs of the affected structure, the location of the safe within the structure, and a copy of the homeowner’s insurance claim.
GSP is subject to choosing free replacement, based on available and product similarity. Customers can pay the difference to upgrade safes, for a higher fire rating, protection, or size from previous safe.

Please include the safe’s serial number, your full name, address of the incident, phone number, pictures of any/all damage to the safe, and receipt (if possible).

If involved in a fire:
Please submit the Fire Report, including photographs of the affected structure, the location of the safe within the structure, and a copy of the homeowner’s insurance claim.

If involved in a burglary attack:
Please submit the Police Report, must include narrative, including photographs of the affected structure, the location of the safe within the structure, and a copy of the homeowner’s insurance claim.

Other details such as dimensions and purchase history (date of purchase, location, etc.) also help if available. Upon contacting us, please allow time for your claim to be reviewed and one of our valued customer service representatives will contact you.

 

Additional Disclosure Information:

GSP may, at its discretion, open or repair the damaged safe on location. If the safe is damaged to the extent that it cannot be opened by normal means, then GSP will have the safe opened by a skilled safe technician to retrieve the owner’s belongings. The maximum expense to repair or open a safe is limited to $300.00 USD.

This warranty does not cover neglect, misuse, or abuse. It also does not cover damage caused by tampering with or altering any part of the product (including, but not limited to, removing the safe door and handle shaft/hub). It also does not cover consumables such as batteries for the electronic lock. The safe must not be housed in an enclosed swimming pool area. The safe is to be in an area which is climate controlled and is to be installed as instructed in the Owner’s Manual.

The warranty on a Winchester Safe covers a product that is deemed new, undamaged and is in the exact same condition as when it left our factory. When a safe is damaged by freight or dropped, it may have received structural damage to the unit that could compromise the integrity of the fire protection and/or security. In the case where we deem a product to have an invalid warranty, we will provide parts at a cost.

Certain exclusions include products that have been subjected to water damage of any kind, including but not limited to damages paint finish, fireboard, and loss or damage by any means of personal property inside the safe.

GSP provides this warranty in place of all other warranties and assurances whether expressed or implied. GSP accepts no liability for incidental or consequential damage or loss by anyone because of using this safe.
